Growing up as a military kid, I understood the gravity of conflict at a very young age. My family members suffered from permanent health conditions due to their time in combat, my community mourned the losses of loved ones to conflict, and my friends and their families lived in war zones, uncertain of their safety.
This experience led me to an interest in diplomacy and international affairs. I'm a University of Florida student pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Studies. During my time at UF, I have also explored various other interests through my minors in Philosophy, African Studies, and Family, Youth, and Community Sciences. I have also dabbled in language learning, focusing on achieving a working proficiency in Spanish. This diverse combination of studies has given me a unique perspective as I navigate my interest in bridging the gap between defense and diplomacy policy.
